Shopping - Vosloorus

Shopping centres have diverged from their retail purpose to become an integral part of the daily lifestyle of the communities they serve. Now, the developments are reaching a point of refinement where the lifestyle component is becoming paramount in attracting increasingly sophisticated market.
The design and construction of new shopping centres reflect their increasingly important role not only as retail outlets, but as an extension of the domestic lives of their customers. Worldwide retail trends identified at the recent South African Council of Shopping Centres (SASCA) congress, showed that we are moving out of the traditional big mall design and focusing on the concept of ‘the street’. These centres focus on an inside
and outside integration of space and are based on the ‘village model. For us it is about controlling the flow of people in retail environment is vital to its success.
The placement of toilets and food conveniences is of vital importance to regulate the flow. |
